Data we collect

We collect no information, wheter it be personal or not. Stash does not collect, transmit, or store your name, email address, location, device identifiers, or any other data. We have no visibility into who you are or how you use the app.

User accounts

Stash has no user accounts. There is no registration, no login, and no user profiles. You do not need to provide any information to use the app.

Network requests

Stash makes no network requests. The app operates entirely offline and does not contact any external server — not for licensing, update checks, telemetry, or any other purpose. No data ever leaves your device.

Local storage

Any data you create or save within the app is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to it — we cannot read it, back it up, or recover it. You cannot open your snippets from any other device without your own private key.

macOS Keychain

Stash uses the macOS Keychain to securely encrypt your private key. This information is managed by macOS and never transmitted to us or any third party. It never leaves your device.

Third-party SDKs

Stash includes no third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or advertising libraries.

Children

Stash is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because we collect no data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect any data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If the policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app introduces network functionality — the policy will be updated on this page and effective date below will be revised. We encourage you to review this for updates.
